Woke up. Showered. Blogged. Wrote postcards to Sarah in Madison. Started homework. Left for class. Forgot postcards in room. Blech. Will mail those tomorrow.
A bunch of buses were diverted today because apparently the Big Names in the government are finally voting on whether to increase student tuition or not. Of course all the students are saying "NO!" because they don't think they should pay for their education at all. While I agree with their sentiments, protesting the British school system isn't going to lower American tuition rates. So I just grumbled as I sat in the 453 which was stuck in traffic. It was ten to three, I was by Victoria, and I still had to get to Wells Street, which is closest to Oxford Circus. Victoria is no where near Oxford Street. So I got off when we finally arrived on Victoria Street and took the Tube. I was happy to be gone too because there was a baby that kept screaming every time its mother moved away from its view. gggrrrrrrr. I know I normally like children, but babies here NEVER CRY! I swear. Babies and dogs are so well-behaved across the pond.
I ended up being about ten minutes late, but it didn't look like the prof started yet, so I was okay. During break, Hattie told me that Ben from 6th floor was really hyper last night for whatever reason, so he was running all over the place and opening peoples doors and spraying the fire extinguishers and stuff. He wasn't even drunk, either. Oh well.
Decided to bus it on the way back, but I swear all the buses I use were the ones that were diverted. GRRR. Day of frustration! So I walked along to Piccadilly Circus to catch the tube back home.
Walked into a giant Boots because I needed ear plugs before the flight to Madrid this weekend. Anything to keep the annoying "And don't forget to buy this latest product from Ryanair!" from my ears. Ugh. Anyway, I also bought some chocolate bars because they were 2 for 80p and I needed something else to bring the price up to over 5quid so I can use my debit card. I'm out of cash and I figured there was no use getting some more when I'll be in Madrid shortly. And now I have chocolate for Madrid. Yay!
Quiche for dinner. I had the packaging stacked on my glass of milk as I was leaving the kitchen, but it toppled as I tried to open the door. Spectacular save of the quiche (my dinner!!) and I ended up not losing a whole lot of milk. Oh yeah, I'm totally a ninja without even trying. Be jealous. Vanessa helped me open the door the second time (even though I had an easier way to manage stacked food, but I appreciate the help).
By the way, Mom, Vanessa says Happy Birthday.
And then I did more homework and some more procrastination and I'm about to go to bed except I want to write some more thoughts on what I should talk about in my essay and finish this episode of American's Next Top Model Cycle 15. I know, I watch Top Model. It's a giant guilty pleasure. Don't judge.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOMMY!!!
